Who we are
Closers.net ("Closers," "we," "us," or "our") is a free sales-career certification site. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of this website and any account you create on it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you create an account to take a quiz or the certification exam, we collect the details you provide to register: an email address and the name you choose to display on your public profile and certificate.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data when you visit — the pages you request, your approximate location derived from your IP address, browser type, and device type. Some of this is collected through Google Analytics (see "Cookies and similar technologies" below). We use it to understand how the site is used and to keep it working.
What we don't collect. Closers is not a job board and is not an applicant tracking system. We do not process job applications, and we do not collect or store resumes, CVs, or any other employment records.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- operate your account and provide quizzes, the exam, and your certificate;
- display your public profile and certificate page if you pass the exam;
- analyse site usage to improve the lessons and tools;
- respond to questions you send us;
- send you emails about Closers and our products and services, including promotions, offers, and sales (you can opt out at any time — see "Email and marketing communications" below).
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with third parties only as described in this policy — service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, hosting, analytics, and email delivery) — and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing without your consent.
Why we collect a name and email
All lessons, scripts, templates, glossary entries, and calculators are free and public — you never need an account or an email address to read them. An account is required for the interactive parts (quizzes and the exam) and for issuing a certificate with your name on it. If you give us an email address, we may also use it to contact you about Closers, including product updates, promotions, offers, and sales — you can opt out of those emails at any time (see "Email and marketing communications" below).
Email and marketing communications
If you give us your email address, we may use it to send you messages about Closers and our products and services, including updates, promotions, offers, and sales. We may send these emails ourselves or through a third-party email service provider — that provider processes your email address on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for its own marketing.
Every marketing email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time without losing access to any content. We may still send you essential service or account messages (for example, a sign-in link or a notification about your certificate); these are part of running your account and you cannot opt out of them while your account is active.
To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email, or email us at support@closers.net and ask us to stop contacting you or to remove your details.
Your exam results
When you take the certification exam, your score and the fact that you passed are stored so we can issue and verify your certificate. If you do not pass, we store only enough information to prevent repeat abuse of the exam. Individual question responses are used to measure the exam's quality and are never disclosed to other users.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to remember your progress on the interactive track. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some account features may stop working.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google's gtag.js) to measure how the site is used. It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _gid) and collects your approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. We use it only in aggregate — to see which lessons and tools help people — and we do not use it for advertising, nor do we sell the data. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies; the lessons, glossary, and calculators remain fully usable either way.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below, and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. Where required, we will also honour a request to restrict or export your data.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active or as long as we need it to provide the services described here. Certificate and profile records are kept while your account is active because their purpose is to verify a credential that is meant to last. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page (closers.net/app/account): deleting your account removes your profile, your certificates and their public pages, and your practice history, and it cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by contacting us below.
Children
Closers is intended for adults making career decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region), and we will delete it if we learn we have collected it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
